Classes and Workshops

I have had more fun this year teaching art classes in my new studio in downtown Gig Harbor. The Classes are kept small so that you get individual attention- and get to know other artists too. The popular "Starting Right with Pastels" (series of 5 classes) will be offered again this year and a 4 week "Advanced Texture Techniques" series will start this winter. I hope to get a Gelliprinting workshop going- it has great possibilities. It might happen that we could do a couple Workshops creating Garden Accents- I am going to be in the Gig Harbor Garden Tour in 2019. I'd like to get kids art classes going (pastels, metal tooling)- if they can find a mutually agreed upon time! When you take a class from me you not only get technique, but a little art history and a refresher in Art & Design Elements, too.

The starting salvo in my foray into teaching metal tooling- first to adults then to students in local schools. You never know where some things will leag you- just important that you enjoy doing it!

When I talked about NW Indian Art to 5th graders, we created aluminum tooled masks and placques- and coloredthem with sharpies- they turned out amazing!
